Post-life

Have had a bit of a pause in the creation antics... new job, illustration works and adjusting to a new routine. Plan to get back on it in a big way, lots of ideas floating around. In the meantime, this is an old photoshop job.

Pepita the Penguin

Oddbins - Pepita the Penguin

I completed this stop frame animation in December 2012 as part of Oddbins' Christmas viral promotion.
So the story goes that Pepita, the Mexican penguin, is sad about the soulless, bland supermarket experience when buying her wine. After touring around a few wine producing countries, she seeks something better back home. This comes in the form of Oddbins.

I am really happy I got to support Oddbins in their campaign - all for promoting companies that are passionate about their produce.  It also gave me a great opportunity to re-learn some tricks from back in the days of Collective Era's gabba accompaniment:

Another stop frame animation will have to be on the cards for later on this year... so many possibilities with this!

The ink has come out after I suddenly got inspired by some burlesque, and Bettie Page. Most of the elements are in place now (acetate, scrubbed screen, raw materials) to get things going this weekend.
